Japanese media that have been camping outside of Rangers ballpark, waiting for a Yu Darvish announcement.

I kind of feel bad for Japanese sports media in the United States.  From now until the end of the season, they’ll have to make a story somehow involving Yu almost every single day, regardless if he pitched.

My friend Alli’s boyfriend told me a hilarious story at the MLB Winter Meeting this year about the Winter Meeting in 2009.  One guy in the Japanese media asked the same two questions to everyone at every press conference:

  1. “What did you think of Hideki Matsui’s performance in the World Series?”
  2. “Would you like something like that on your team?”

Dude, had to make several stories out of those questions.

I once heard there’s a TV station in Japan that shows every Ichiro at bat.  Let the Yu Darvish insanity begin.
