Pat “the bat” Burrell has announced his retirement from baseball. Unless he signs a one day contract so he can retire with Philadelphia, a town and team that showed him nothing but love. Not normal love, though. More like angry stepfather who was laid off at the coal mine and wants you to pick up your Legos type of love. Harsh, unforgiving, misunderstood love.
