OK, so Shannon and I have been balls deep in planning our wedding lately. Per my super helpful World Series grief therapist, we have begun time and date stamping every plan so that it’s concrete and we can check things off the list. Which brings me to our rehearsal dinner location.
We’ve been trying to lock down (or at least get prices to lock down) our favorite pizza place in town because they announced they’re almost done with their new private dining room. We went through the traditional venues and called up their events coordinator and left her a message. Then we left another. Then another. By then, it had been several weeks so I tweeted at the owner. I immediately got a response and a new name and number to call. So we called him and left a voicemail. And then another one. We had seen this movie before and knew how it ended. Eventually someone gave us an email address, but that was also met with no response.
After only getting a response through twitter (just to get details about the room, I remind you), I went to their facebook and told our story. Within a half hour, we got a response. This is how the world works now. You can leave 5 voicemails with 2 people and send documented emails, but only Twitter and Facebook get responses.
Hopefully this will work out, because their pizza is fantastic.
