Makayla Maddux (Yes, from THE Madduxes) is live tweeting the Rangers Triple Play banquet. I wish I was there so badly. Brandon Snyder (rookie infielder), Robbie Ross (rookie relief pitcher), and Yu Darvish (rookie starting pitcher) are going through their rookie hazing via karaoke.

Of Millwood’s 75 pitches through 3.2 innings, 20 of them were to Michael Young. It’s hard to believe that only 3 short years ago, this dude was our Opening Day starter.

In the running for my favorite Rangers moment of the season. The best was Adrian’s epic staredown at Elvis. Like “ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME, SON?! REALLY?!”
Original via SB Nation (no clue who did the trollgaze2k12 edit):

But, 2 out of 3 is still a series win. Let’s #dowork against the Mariners now.

OK, so I am an unapologetic fan of David Murphy, the Rangers left fielder/former Baylor Bear/that dude that we got when we traded Eric Gagne to the Red Sox.
And by fan of Murph (and I can call him Murph, because we’re cool like that), it really goes far beyond him as a BAMF outfielder and hitter hiding like a tiger in the bottom of our order. His walkup songs are always super cool for the parts of relatively unknown songs (spoiler alert: they’re all Christian bands/songs).
Last year, he primarily walked up to Strong Tower by Kutless. The part of the song that he used was the first part of the chorus in this otherwise slow song. It belted through the ballpark “YOU ARE MY STRONG TOWER! SHELTER OVER ME!” which was friggin perfect after hearing the PA announce his name. You would never even know that it was a Christian song.
This year, Murph has Where I Belong by Building 429 (above video). Again, a Christian song, but the part of the song that he uses for his walkup starts at the 2:08 mark where it’s a full crowd singing the chorus to the song: “All I know is I’m not home yet. This is not where iiiiiiiiii bellllooooonnnnggg!”
Regardless of this being a Christian song, it’s a song that begs for the crowd to sing along to it. And it works. Since the first week of the season, I’ve seen entire sections of the crowd start singing along before his at bats.
Murph is becoming one of my favorite Rangers ever.

“With an almost unprecedented 18 home runs under his belt after his team’s first 35 games, Josh Hamilton finds himself on pace to surpass his career high (32) during the Rangers’ 65th game … on June 15.”
